Next Town Down is a vocal group that performs both covers and original songs on their YouTube channel. The group involves five guys: Leon Outlaw Jr, Malik Knighten, Chris Louis, Tre'von Waters, and Terence Thomas.
Next Town Down started off with Tre'von Waters, Chris Louis, and Terence Thomas. While they was following each other on social media, they all became fans of each other vocal abilities, and they shared the same interest in music. They started talking one day and came up with the idea to put together a boy band. They agreed that the group should include five guys. They discover Malik Knighten due to a video from a fan page on Instagram. They founded Leon Outlaw Jr. on YouTube from when he portrayed a young Michael Jackson in the Motown Musical. After they recruited their last two members, the boy group, Next Town Down was created.


When it was time for the group to choose a band name, they all wanted a name with the word next in it. Their first choice was Boys Next Door, but that name was already taken. This boy band does not have blonde and floppy hair. They was proudly black and from that cool town over. They wanted their band name to take their fans to a really special place like the other side of the pillow. So these guys was not the Boys Next Door, yet they was Next Town Down.



Each of the members in Next Town Down is a different age and came from a different place.
Leon is 16 years old, he is from Brooklyn, New York.


Malik is 18 years old, and he is from Charles City, Iowa.


Chris is 20 years old, and he is from Sarasota, Florida.


Tre'von is 21 years old, and he is from Lancaster, Virginia.


Terence is 22 years old, and he is from Hollandale, Mississippi.


These guys enjoy being a part of a band together. They had formed a brotherhood and is really glad they found each other.
The thing that makes Next Town Down special is the fact that they is willing to do any genre of music. Not only do they sing any genre of music, but also they does not need to use auto tune.

    I love Leon outlaw jr because he is the guy of the rest of the guys and my friend Olivia likes malik knighten a lot Me and my friend really want to you guys concert so much .You guys have been doing an a amazing job.

Terence Thomas was born on January 27,1996. He was born and raised in Hollandale,MS. Ever since Terence was a little kid, he knew he wanted to do something that involves music. His mother was a preacher so he was raise up in church. During that time, Terence singed on the church chorus, and he played the piano at church. After Terence graduated high school, he attended Jackson State University. While Terence was in college, he competed in a talent competition that was similar to Showtime at the Apollo. He was a freshman when he competed in the competition. Tre'von Waters

Tre'von Waters was born on July 14,1996. He was born in Kilmarnock, VA, but he was raised in Lancaster, VA. Tre'von discovered his talent while he was living in Lancaster, VA. Tre'von started singing when he was two years old. His mother, Tracey Waters, was his manager. According to his mother, Tre'von was an enthused child who was just having fun. Later on his mother discover that singing was more than just a hobby to Tre'von when he says, "I want to sing for a living". At that moment, Tracey Waters realized singing was Tre'von passion and gift.
